When the team at Licensed Renovations took on a full home renovation in Glendowie, they brought Roof Auckland in to handle the roof. This wasn’t the first time we’ve worked together — over several projects, we’ve built a strong relationship based on good communication, reliability, and results.

So when this big job came along, we were their go-to team.

We removed the old concrete tile roof and installed a brand-new .55 Corrugate Colorcote Zinacore roof in Grey Friars. The scope also included:

• Removing the chimney to below the roofline

• Installing parapet capping in Sandstone Grey with custom saddle flashings

• Reflashing roof penetrations

• Adding copper quarter round spouting and 80mm downpipes for a neat finish

A key part of this project was coordination between the Licensed Renovations builder and our team. For example the Licensed Renovations builder took care of the cladding over the saddles and also built a 5-degree fall substrate on the handrail so our cap flashing could be fitted correctly. With the flashings designed to match that 5-degree fall, the end result is both watertight and tidy — a great example of how builder and roofer working side-by-side makes for a smooth outcome.

The Glendowie home now has a modern, durable roof system that integrates seamlessly with the wider renovation, protecting the property for years to come.
